Systems Engineer – Expert (DevOps Focus)

Location: Chantilly, VA (On-Site)
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
EC is seeking an Expert Systems Engineer (DevOps) to support a large-scale technical development program delivering modern ICAM solutions. This role spans architecture, engineering, automation, and operational sustainment in a 24/7/365 environment. Participation in an on-call rotation (approximately one week every two months) is required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead complex cloud-native solution development
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Automate infrastructure and deployment functions
- Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Support containerization and orchestration initiatives
- Administer AWS services (CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC)
- Perform Linux system administration and privileged access duties
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- BA/BS and 11–15 years of experience
- Expert Linux proficiency
- Expertise with Jenkins, GitHub, Rundeck, Nexus
- AWS scripting and CLI experience
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/ECS)
- CI/CD pipeline implementation
- JIRA and Confluence experience
Desired Qualifications
- Elastic stack experience
- AWS Certification
- CKAD or container-related certifications
