Our team is looking for a Systems Administrator to support the design, development, and deployment of a smart manufacturing environment that will enable the efficient production of munitions and energetics. The right candidate will analyze the existing hardware and software assets. The Systems Administrator will guide the introduction of new hardware and software assets and mitigate any adverse outcomes to existing manufacturing operations. The Systems Administrator will monitor system health and provide notifications for anticipated safety and production concerns. The right candidate will collaborate with cloud, UI/UX, 5G, sensor, and cyber teams to deploy an end-to-end sensor-to-cloud manufacturing environment.

Location: Remote (with routine travel to the Washington DC Metro Area)

Clearance: US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance

You will be expected to:
  • Identify, assess, and document existing customer hardware and software assets and its configuration
  • Assess, analyze, and document server resiliency measures, such as backup servers, power, and potential implementation of Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) systems.
  • Assess, analyze, and document network specifications to on-site server locations. This includes bandwidth, network connection type (ethernet, fiber, Wi-Fi), and existing ingress and egress usage on the network.
  • Assess, analyze, and document customer security and compliance processes for release of application updates onto the on-site servers, end-user devices, and offline storage devices
  • Review and analyze existing plant machinery and associated device interfaces
  • Assess and document customer requirements surrounding safety, security, productivity, and quality of assets.
  • Identify and configure end-user devices and servers for inter-departmental communication, reporting, and tracking

Preferred:
  • Have experience working in a DoD manufacturing environment
  • Have experience working within an energetics or ordnance environment
  • Have experience with AWS cloud technologies and monitoring tools
  • Have experience with 4G and 5G data transport networks

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration
  • Ability to document designs and communicate with customers
