Description:
The Senior UX Designer is responsible for leading user experience design across complex applications and mission-focused software platforms. This role blends research, interaction design, and usability expertise to craft intuitive, accessible, and user-centered solutions in secure and regulated environments. The Senior UX Designer works collaboratively with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define user needs, create wireframes and prototypes, and guide the implementation of thoughtful, high-impact design systems. This position plays a critical role in elevating the quality, consistency, and usability of enterprise software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- UX Strategy: Lead end-to-end user experience design efforts for web and software applications.
- Align user needs with business and mission objectives to deliver intuitive, user-centered solutions.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Develop wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes using design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
- Test and iterate concepts with internal stakeholders and end users.
- User Research: Conduct and apply user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations.
- Translate insights into actionable design improvements.
- Design Systems: Define and maintain consistent design patterns, UI components, and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure consistent implementation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and security teams.
- Support agile development and integrate design feedback into fast-paced release cycles.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and peer reviews to junior designers.
- Help shape the broader design culture and maturity within the organization.
- An eligibility of Top-Secret is required for this position.
- The applicant may be subject to SCI eligibility requirements, including but not limited to a Polygraph.

- Citizenship Requirements: All applicants must be U.S. Citizens with current residency in the United States.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Psychology, or related field.
- Experience: 6+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating work in secure or complex domains.
- Flexible: Comfortable working across teams and handling multiple design initiatives.
- Communication: Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Organization: Detail-oriented with excellent time management and documentation skills.
- Mindset: User-focused, data-informed, and committed to continuous improvement.
- UX/UI tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision
- Design systems and accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508)
- Experience conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing
- Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks (bonus)
- Agile/Scrum environments and tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience designing for secure or government applications preferred
