Internship - Market Research

Brief Description:
Evans & Chambers Technology (EC) is seeking a highly motivated Market Research Analyst to work with our solutions-driven organization.  EC is focused on solving National Security and Defense challenges through smart IT solutions.   This position engages subject matter experts in areas that are in the National headlines of the daily news.  Gain exposure and have impact in Immigration, Counter-terrorism and Insider Threat issues while assisting with the integration of these solutions through customer and employee engagement.  Our clients praise our work, customer service, and intelligent solutions.
Position requires 10 hours per week, 40 hours per month.  This is a paid internship.
Reports To:  Chief Operating Officer
Work Location:  4 minute walk from the Shaw-Howard U Metro

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

•     In pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related disciplines
•     Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•     Ability to show initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
•     Ability to clearly communicate financial and operational highlights in various formats such as charts, ad hoc reports, and emails
•     Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•     US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required.​

Major Responsibilities:
The Market Research Analyst will support business development activities by providing competitive intelligence and customer spending trends to decision makers.  The Market Research Analyst will collect and synthesize intelligence to assist in qualifying opportunities and supporting bid decisions. The Market Research Analyst will participate in opportunity discussions and capture strategy planning sessions, including develop win probabilities and bid/no-bid decisions.  The Market Research Analyst will understand the companies value and service offerings to assist with opportunity identification.  The Market Research Analyst will review and summarize requests for information and sources sought documents as part of opportunity identification activities.
