Editor - Production Control Officer. TS/SCI req'd. Bolling AFB

Job Description:

The Production Control Officer (PCO) will provide editorial and production control support for a nightly publication for Defense Intelligence. The PCO ensures that finished intelligence products, including graphics, are error free, properly formatted, and meet classification requirements before signing off for dissemination and publication. The PCO must possess strong editing skills with a strong attention to detail. The candidate will work on a small team in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment with senior- and executive-level customers. 

• Edit proofs of daily publications, ensuring products and graphics are properly formatted and free from errors in grammar, spelling, and syntax.
• Ensure corrections and sign offs are complete and that deadlines are met.
• Use strong interpersonal skills to coordinate changes with contributors, provide editorial advice and guidance, and assist in verifying facts and content.
• Review publication for proper classification markings, de-classifying information, and release authority.

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field of study.
• Six to eight years’ experience editing intelligence products (daily publications are a plus).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others under stressful situations.
• Familiarity with derivative classification and Security Marking Program standards
