Evans & Chambers is seeking an Intelligence Research Specialist. Candidates are required to process raw intelligence that may be in other languages or encrypted, combine it with key data from other sources and produce actionable insights into the activities of human smugglers, multinational gangs, terrorist networks, financial criminals and narcotics smugglers. Candidates will perform data analysis, incident response, investigative analysis, and research on existing and emerging cyber threats. Additionally, candidates will provide reporting and briefings to other teams and leadership in order to maintain appropriate levels of situational awareness. Leverage understanding of tactics, techniques and procedures associated with advanced threats to create and add custom signatures that mitigate highly dynamic threats to the enterprise.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain analytic contacts in the intelligence community

  • Provide direct support to operational HUMINT collectors

  • Translate or decrypt raw intelligence

  • Report information back using various methods of communication

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree preferably in Intelligence, Criminal Justice, Political Science, World/Regional History, or other history/political/science/business/computer science/intelligence or law enforcement topic.

  • Successful completion of at least six years in an all-source analytic, HUMINT collection, or HUMINT collection support role is acceptable in lieu of a college degree.

  • Have a minimum of one year conducting or supporting overt HUMINT operations. Previous experience as an intelligence analyst or HUMINT targeting officer is highly desired.

  • Possess knowledge of overt HUMINT authorities and programs, and understand the principles of intelligence oversight and the intelligence cycle.

  • Possess technical skills, knowledge, and experience to accomplish the work in the Collection Manager Task list with minimal oversight

  • Have a basic knowledge of JWICS, SIPRNet and NIPRNet research tools. For example, some or all of the following: llR Citation & Evaluation database (ICE), Quantum Leap Intelligence Exchange (QLIX), NCTC Current, Think Analyze Connect (TAC), Record Message Traffic (RMT), CIA WIRe, lntelink, Library of National Intelligence (LNI), i-Space, q-Space, CRATE, Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Requirements-reporting Operations Management Environment (CHROME), CHROME Collection Operation Requirements Exploration (CORE) Discovery (CORE-D), Open Source Enterprise (OSE), APACS, HOTR.

  • Possess knowledge of DIA mission and organization, and an understanding of the National Intelligence Priority Framework, the DIA Strategic Intelligence Plan, and Combatant Command Operations Plans and Priority Intelligence Requirements
