Evans & Chambers has a career opportunity available for a User-Interface Developer to support our mission critical customer in Vienna, VA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Building and maintaining web-based application user interfaces
- New development, enhancements, and maintenance of modern, clean, intuitive user interfaces for Java/J2EE applications.
- The design and technical implementation to enhance user experience.
- Performing front end development and testing using AngularJS, jQuery/Javascript, CSS, XML, JSON, XSLT, Spring Web MVC, Tiles, DOM, JSTL, JSP, MVC2/Struts, .
- Experience with Selenium or Protractor
Qualified candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT field or equivalent years of experience.
- 4+ years real life experience delivering Web and UI based code to production.
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
- Technical skills with at least 4 years of hands on development in the following areas:
- Spring Web MVC
- AngularJS
- JavaScript /jQuery
- D3
- JSON
- XML/XSLT
- AJAX
- HTML
- CSS
- Knowledge of test libraries (junit, dbunit) or automation tools (Selenium)
- Able to work with users and analysts to develop interfaces to meet customer needs
- Utilize reusable components
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, good customer relationship skills, especially in highly dynamic environment
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience with testing tools such as QuickTest Professional, Selenium Quality Center and/or Protractor.
- Experience with Maven, Ant and continuous building environments.
- Experience with web service API’s (REST, SOAP).
- Experienced with rapid application development (RAD) methodology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick software release environment.
- Self-motivated to learn and work independently in a complex, dynamic environment.
- Experience development on/for application servers (i.e. JBoss, MarkLogic)
