Conducts all-source analytic production on foreign military, political, and security-related issues including, but not limited to, regional military capabilities, strategy, doctrine, operations, leadership intentions and decision-making, military leadership, defense and security policies, irregular warfare, civil-military relations, and defense relations with the U.S. and other countries.They evaluate the strategic capabilities, intentions, and decision making of foreign national security establishments and non-state actors such as terrorist and insurgency groups, or assess the technical performance and tactical proficiency of foreign weapons systems and forces.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for researching, developing, and presenting intelligence products at the operational level for senior leaders.

  • Researches, analyzes, and produces assessments and briefings on current and projected military and foreign policy, security strategy, doctrine, regional relations, and leadership structure.

  • Maintains currency on the political and military capabilities and intentions of individuals, groups and governments within the country/region, including advances and developments that relate to or impact the assigned area of responsibility

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in international relations, political science, security studies or military history, preferably with a strong regional focus or expertise.

  • Excellent analytical ability, solid interpersonal skills, the ability to think about issues on a tactical or strategic level, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are also required

  • Experience within DoD or equivalent Government agencies required, and at the operational level.

  • Strong background and firsthand experience is required in the following analytical areas: Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE), data at rest Regional Analysis, Geo-Political Analysis, HUMINT/SIGINT Analysis, and Collection Management

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI POLY Eligibility.
